About this tool

AI is the Adobe Illustrator format; since Illustrator 9 an AI file carries a PDF version of the artwork inside. EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) is the classic vector exchange format of print shops, logo files and stock graphics.

This converter turns your AI file into EPS, the right choice for print shops, logo packages, stock agencies and older design programs. Paths, shapes, colours, gradients and text are taken over as vectors, so the EPS file stays sharp at any size and can still be edited. Add up to 10 files at once – each one is converted in the background, so you can keep using the site and download every result as soon as it is ready.

Every AI file saved with “Create PDF Compatible File” (the default since Illustrator 9), and old PostScript-based AI files. A file saved without the PDF part can only be opened by Illustrator itself – save it again with that option turned on.
