About this tool

A watermark shows at a glance that a document is a draft, confidential, a copy or a sample, and a logo marks it as yours. This tool places a text or an image on the pages of a PDF and shows the result on every page thumbnail while you adjust it.

Quick buttons fill in common texts (CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, COPY, SAMPLE, PAID), and you can type any other. Size, colour, opacity (10–100 %) and angle (0°, 45°, −45° or your own) are one tap away, and the watermark can sit in the centre, at the top or bottom, in a corner or be repeated diagonally over the whole page, which makes it much harder to cut out of a screenshot. Instead of text you can use an image: PNG logos keep their transparency.

Choose all pages or only some. The rest of each page is copied unchanged, and the PDF is created in your browser without uploading it.

Frequently asked questions

Can a watermark be removed again?

It is drawn on top of the page content, so it cannot simply be switched off in a viewer; with editing software it can be removed with effort. Repeating it over the whole page makes that much harder.

Can I use my logo?

Yes. Choose “Image / logo” and pick a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. Transparent PNG logos stay transparent.

How do I make the watermark subtle?

Use an opacity of 10–20 % and a light colour; the text underneath stays readable.

Can I watermark only some pages?

Yes. Tap the pages or type a range under “Pages with the watermark”.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The watermark is added in your browser.
