About this tool
A watermark shows who a photo belongs to and makes it harder to reuse without permission. It is also useful for marking copies of documents ("COPY – only for the bank") before you send them somewhere.
The watermark can be text, in five fonts with a shadow or outline so it stays readable on light and dark areas, or your own logo (a PNG or SVG with a transparent background works best). Place it in one of nine spots with an adjustable distance from the edge, drag it anywhere on the preview, or repeat it diagonally across the whole picture, which is the hardest to remove. Size is relative to the photo's width, so the same settings look right on large and small photos.
Select many photos to watermark them all in one go and download a ZIP. The work is done by your browser at full resolution; nothing is uploaded, and the saved photos don't carry hidden metadata such as the GPS location.
Frequently asked questions
Which watermark is hardest to remove?
A repeated (tiled) watermark across the whole photo with medium opacity and some rotation. A small mark in a corner can simply be cropped off.
Can I use my logo?
Yes. Switch to "Logo / image" and choose the file. A PNG or SVG with a transparent background looks best; set the size and opacity like for text.
Can I watermark many photos at once?
Yes. Select several photos: the settings you see on the first one are applied to all of them, and you download a ZIP.
Will the watermark look the same on photos of different sizes?
Yes. Size and distance from the edge are percentages of the photo, so the mark keeps the same proportions.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn by your browser; the photos don't leave your device.
