About this tool
A scanned stack of invoices, a long report that has to go to different people, an e-mail attachment limit: there are many reasons to cut one PDF into several. This tool splits by a fixed number of pages (for example every page into its own file), by page ranges you type, or into a chosen number of equal parts.
While you change the settings, the pages on the left are grouped and labelled “Part 1”, “Part 2” and so on, so you can see the result before you create it. The new files are named after the original with their page numbers, and you can download each one or all of them in a single ZIP file.
The pages are copied unchanged, so text, links and image quality stay exactly as in the original. Password-protected files open after you enter their password, and everything happens in your browser without uploading the document.
Frequently asked questions
How do I save every page as its own PDF?
Choose “Every N pages” and the preset “1 (every page)”. You get one file per page, also available as a ZIP.
How do the page ranges work?
Each range separated by a comma becomes one file: “1-3, 4-8, 9-” gives three files, the last one from page 9 to the end.
What if the pages do not divide evenly?
The last file simply gets the remaining pages, for example 10 pages split every 3 pages gives 3 + 3 + 3 + 1.
Does splitting change the quality?
No. The pages are copied into the new files unchanged; text stays sharp and searchable.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The files are created in your browser and the document stays on your device.
