About this tool

Filters change the mood of a photo in one tap. This tool has 20 of them, from natural ones like Vivid, Warm, Bright and Golden to stylised looks such as Vintage, Film (with grain), Lomo, Noir, Sepia, Duotone and Cinematic.

Each filter is previewed on your own picture, so you can compare them at a glance. The intensity slider blends the filter with the original: 50% gives a subtle version, 100% the full effect.

The preview is a smaller copy for speed; when you save, the filter is applied to the full-resolution photo. Everything runs in your browser and saved photos don't include hidden metadata such as the GPS location.

Frequently asked questions

Which filter should I use?

For natural improvements try Vivid, Bright or Warm. For a nostalgic look try Vintage, Film, Retro or Instant; for portraits in black and white, Noir or Black & white; for a modern film look, Cinematic or Moody.

Can I make a filter weaker?

Yes. The intensity slider blends the filter with your original photo, from 0% (no change) to 100% (full effect).

Does the filter reduce the resolution?

No. The preview uses a smaller copy, but the saved photo has the full original resolution.

Can I combine a filter with other edits?

Save the filtered photo and open it in the Photo Editor to adjust brightness, crop or straighten it.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The filters are applied by your own browser.
