About this tool
TIFF is a high-quality format used by scanners, printers, publishing and photo archives. Files are usually large, and browsers and many websites can't show them. Saving PDF pages as TIFF is useful for printing, publishing, scanning and archiving, and wherever a picture is needed instead of a document.
Every page is rendered exactly as a PDF viewer shows it, with text, vector graphics and images, at 72, 150, 300 or 600 DPI. Choose all pages or a selection such as "1-3, 5, 8-"; password-protected PDFs open after you enter the password. Several PDFs can be converted at once; download each page on its own or all pages as a ZIP.
Pages get a white background, just like in a PDF viewer.
TIFF files are large because they are barely compressed; use JPG or PNG if file size matters.
The PDF is opened with pdf.js in your browser and is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Which resolution should I choose for TIFF?
150 DPI is sharp on screens and for sharing; 300 DPI is right for printing; 72 DPI gives small previews; 600 DPI is for fine print.
Can I convert only some pages to TIFF?
Yes. Type the pages, for example "2", "1-3, 7" or "5-" for page 5 to the end. Leave the field empty for all pages.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Yes, if you know the password. It is only used by your browser to open the file.
Can I still copy the text from the TIFF image?
Not directly: the page becomes a picture. To get the text, use Image to Text (OCR) on the image, or copy it from the PDF itself.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The pages are rendered in your browser and the file stays on your device.
