About this tool
GIF is an old, universally supported format limited to 256 colours, best known for simple animations. Many offices, schools and online forms accept documents only as PDF, and one PDF is easier to send than many single files.
Each GIF becomes a page of A4, Letter, A5 or Legal, or a page exactly the size of the image; 2 or 4 images can share a page. The image resolution in the PDF can be limited to 100, 200 or 300 DPI to keep the file small, and lossless mode keeps text and lines perfectly sharp.
For animated GIF files the first frame is used.
The PDF is written by your browser; your images are not uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put several GIF files into one PDF?
Yes. Add as many as you need (up to 50), tick “Combine into one PDF”, put them in order and they become the pages of one PDF. Without it, every image becomes its own PDF.
Which page size is used?
A4 by default. You can also choose Letter, A5, Legal or "Same as image", and portrait, landscape or automatic orientation.
Will the images lose quality?
The images are saved in the PDF with the quality and resolution you choose. Choose 300 DPI or lossless images for the best quality, 100 DPI for the smallest file.
Can I put two images on one page?
Yes. Choose 2 or 4 images per page, for example for both sides of an ID card or several receipts.
Are my GIF files uploaded?
No. The PDF is created in your browser and the files stay on your device.
