Higher means better sound and a larger file. “Auto” keeps the bitrate of the original (at least 128 kbit/s); from lossless files it uses the format’s high-quality setting.

Pages to convert

Several pages arrive as a ZIP with one image per page.

Shown by e-readers in the library; leave empty to keep what the document says.

PDF/A-2b embeds all fonts so the file looks the same in many years; required by many courts and public offices.

Scales every sheet so it fits on a single page instead of being split across several.

Sheets

CSV and TSV hold one table: with “Every sheet” each sheet becomes its own file, together in a ZIP.

Separator

Excel in many European languages expects a semicolon; most other programs a comma.

If you continue, the file is uploaded over an encrypted connection and converted on our server. You can keep using the site meanwhile. The original is deleted as soon as it is converted; the result is kept for 7 days so you can download it, and you can delete it at any time. Files are never shared or used for anything else.

Your images are processed in your browser and are not uploaded. If a file is too large for your browser or in a format it can’t handle, we ask before converting it on our server. The original is deleted right after conversion; the result is kept for 7 days for you to download, unless you delete it sooner. Privacy details

About this tool

ICO is the Windows icon format, also used for website favicons. One ICO file can hold the same icon in several sizes.

With this converter you can turn ICO files into JPG, PNG, PDF, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF and BMP. Drop as many files as you like, also in other formats: each file is recognised and gets its own choice of format and options.

An ICO file can contain several sizes of the same icon; the tool converts the largest one.

Files are converted in your browser at full quality unless you change the options. If a file is too large for your device, the tool explains why and asks before converting it on our server.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I convert ICO to?

JPG, PNG, PDF, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF and BMP. Choose a format for each file, or use “Convert all to” for all of them at once.

Can I convert several ICO files at once?

Yes. Add up to 10 files; they are converted at the same time, as far as your device allows, and you can download them one by one, as a selection or as a ZIP.

Can I convert other formats here too?

Yes. Any image or PDF you add is recognised and gets the options that fit it, so you don’t need to look for another page.

Is the quality kept?

By default files are converted at full quality, 1:1. Open Options to choose a lower quality, a smaller size or other settings.

Are my ICO files uploaded?

No. Files are converted in your browser. Only if a file is too large for your device does the tool offer to convert it on our server, and it always asks first.
