How do I convert MP4 to M4V?

Will the video lose quality?

The picture keeps its original resolution and is re-encoded at high quality, so the difference is not visible in normal viewing. Only if you choose 1080p, 720p or 480p is a larger video scaled down (never up) to make the file smaller.

Can I convert several MP4 files at once?

Yes. Add up to 10 videos at a time. Each gets its own background job with its own progress, and you can download each result as soon as it is finished.

How large can the video be?

Each video can be up to 1000 MB and 30 minutes long. Longer recordings can be cut into parts first.

Can I remove the sound?

Yes. Open “Options” and turn off “Keep audio” before converting; the M4V file will then contain the picture only.

What happens to my video?

It is uploaded only after you confirm. The original is deleted as soon as the conversion is finished, and the M4V file is kept for 7 days so you can download it – you can delete it yourself at any time.
