Pages to convert

Several pages arrive as a ZIP with one image per page.

Shown by e-readers in the library; leave empty to keep what the document says.

PDF/A-2b embeds all fonts so the file looks the same in many years; required by many courts and public offices.

Scales every sheet so it fits on a single page instead of being split across several.

Sheets

CSV and TSV hold one table: with “Every sheet” each sheet becomes its own file, together in a ZIP.

Separator

Excel in many European languages expects a semicolon; most other programs a comma.

About this tool

FB2 (FictionBook) is an XML e-book format popular in Eastern Europe and Russia. TXT is plain text without any formatting – readable everywhere, from Notepad to a phone.

This converter turns your FB2 file into TXT, the right choice for pure text for notes, code, search or other programs. Text, headings, lists, tables and pictures are taken over, so you can keep editing the TXT file in a word processor. Add up to 10 files at once – each one is converted in the background, so you can keep using the site and download every result as soon as it is ready.

Documents are converted on our server: the upload starts only after you confirm, the original is deleted after conversion and the result is kept for 7 days unless you delete it sooner.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert FB2 to TXT?

Choose or drop your FB2 file, keep TXT as the output and click Convert. After you confirm the upload, our server converts the document and shows the progress; then you download the TXT file.

Can I convert several FB2 files at once?

Yes. Add up to 10 files at a time. Each gets its own background job with its own progress, and you can download each result as soon as it is finished.

How large can the file be?

Each file can be up to 100 MB.

What happens to my file?

It is uploaded only after you confirm. The original is deleted as soon as the conversion is finished, and the TXT file is kept for 7 days so you can download it – you can delete it yourself at any time.

Is the FB2 to TXT converter free?

Yes. It is free, without sign-up and without a watermark.

Will the layout stay the same?

Text, headings, lists, tables and pictures are kept. Very complex layouts (text boxes, unusual fonts, columns) can shift slightly, because every word processor lays out pages a little differently – check the result before you send it.
