About this tool

MTS is the AVCHD format of Sony and Panasonic camcorders: high-definition video in an MPEG transport stream. RM (RealMedia) is the RealPlayer format from the early internet, now found mainly in old archives.

This converter turns your MTS video into RM, the right choice for RealPlayer and old archives. Frequently asked questions

How do I convert MTS to RM?

Will the video lose quality?

The picture keeps its original resolution and is re-encoded at high quality, so the difference is not visible in normal viewing. Only if you choose 1080p, 720p or 480p is a larger video scaled down (never up) to make the file smaller.

How large can the video be?

Each video can be up to 1000 MB and 30 minutes long. Longer recordings can be cut into parts first.

Can I remove the sound?

Yes. Open “Options” and turn off “Keep audio” before converting; the RM file will then contain the picture only.

What happens to my video?

It is uploaded only after you confirm. The original is deleted as soon as the conversion is finished, and the RM file is kept for 7 days so you can download it – you can delete it yourself at any time.
